Catharsis - English Literary Term Simple Defination
In this article we are going to read about Catharsis, which is a english litraty term.
Catharsis comes from Greek word Katharsis.
Catharsis mean Cleaning and Purification i.e - purification of purgation of the emotion through art like pety and fear.
As we watch movie, and somthing wrong is happening in the movie with any character in the movie, then we sometime feel pety for that character and we think it would not happen with us.
So we feel fear and sometimes we weep then we feel lightend in our emotion or mood.
These are called Catharsis, so this was the basic and simple defination of Catharsis.
